Welcome to Sunrise Senior Living at Hunter Mill! We are very pleased that you have chosen to make Sunrise your new home. As Executive Director, I will work along with the team at Sunrise to provide you with exceptional service and care.
We have developed this directory to answer questions that you may have and to provide you with information that may be useful in getting you acclimated to Sunrise.

Useful Day-One Tips¶
- The Concierge can help you schedule beauty salon appointments and social outings — dial 2200 or (703) 255-1006.
- Your housekeeping day varies per unit and will be posted in your room.
- The beautician visits every Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
- Transportation sign-up sheets for outings are at the Concierge desk (first-come, first-served).
- Guest meals, room service, beauty salon charges, and special activity charges appear on your monthly bill.
- A list of local physicians is available from the Wellness Office upon request.
Resident Council¶
Sunrise at Hunter Mill Resident Council is a formally recognized organization of residents that advocates for resident rights and interests, improves living conditions, and provides a channel of communication with management.
The council empowers residents by giving them a collective voice to address concerns, organize community activities, and actively participate in decision-making processes.
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month in the Activities Room. Department Heads attend upon request.
